Adult Beach Volleyball Tournaments in Darien, IL

BLIND DRAW SIGN UP

Blind Draw Rules:  Lenient! No touching the netting (actual net or perimeter), no contacting people under the net. Beyond that, anything goes! Players of all levels are welcome at these tournaments.

Blind Draw Format: Teams are guaranteed 6 pool play games + 1 playoff game. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to Gold Bracket, bottom 2 teams will play in the Silver Bracket.

Rotating Pairs Format: We will use a 4v4 coed format where individual pairs (one male, one female) register together but rotate to play with and against different pairs throughout the event. Points are tracked for each pair, with new opponents and partners assigned after each match, ensuring a mix-up, social atmosphere, and individual winners. Each team will play 9 games regardless of record.

Cost:

• $25 per player for individual blind draws
• $50 per pair for rotating pairs blind draws

FUDS Tune-Up Rules:

1. Side-out scoring. Pool play is one game to 11, cap at 13. Playoffs are one game to 15, cap at 17.
2. No open-hand tips
3. No touching the net ever. Including the perimeter netting. Continuation rule is in effect
4. Contact and pursuit under the net is allowed as long as you don't interfere with play on the other side
5. Handsets must be clean. Oldschool standards of clean
6. The blocker can block over and redirect but cannot catch the ball
7. Three subs are allowed per game. Subs must play the same position as the player they're coming on for
8. Simultaneous contact - team opposite of the side the ball goes out on commits the foul
9. Reaction play/beach digs allowed
10. Pursuit - diving outside the lines is done at every player's own risk. Touching the netting surrounding the courts while playing the ball results in a dead ball
11. No let-serves. A serve that touches the net results in a side-out
12. No doubles or lifts allowed while serve-receiving
